Mantovani&#8217;s string orchestra played on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LE9pRwVYo5k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">his version<\/a>. It made the&nbsp;charts&nbsp;in the United States and the UK was the first record&nbsp;to spend ten consecutive weeks at number 1 on the&nbsp;UK Singles Chart.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jay and the Americans&#8221;recorded\u00a0 &#8220;Cara Mia&#8221; on their 1965 LP\u00a0<em>Blockbusters<\/em>.
